In 1996, Mike Reeder founded Reeder & Associates. Mike has more than 30 years’ experience in the executive search industry, and more than 60 percent of searches Mike conducts are for Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Group/Division President.
Prior to founding Reeder & Associates, Mike was senior partner and principal owner of Lamalie Amrop International (at the time, the nation’s 5th largest executive search firm). During his 14-year tenure there, he served on the Management Committee and was consistently recognized as one of the top three producers in the firm. In 1985, Mike was named Managing Partner of the Atlanta and Tampa offices. Two years later, he was one of four Lamalie executives to purchase the firm from its founder, Robert E. Lamalie. In 1991, Mike became a Senior Partner with Lamalie Amrop and led the firm’s billings in the Health Care and Managed Care Practice until his departure in 1996.
Mike has been privileged to perform both executive search and consulting services for some of the nation’s leading healthcare and managed care companies such as UnitedHealthcare, The Travelers Companies, Independence BlueCross, Coventry Corporation, Aetna, Geisinger Health System, CIGNA Healthcare, Health Care Service Corporation, as well as several BlueCross BlueShield Plans across the country and in Puerto Rico.
Prior to joining Lamalie Amrop International in 1983, Mike was a Vice President with MSL International Consultants Ltd., the executive search division of Hay Group. Mike began his career in human resources with the Florida Power Corporation in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Steve’s search practice specializes in the recruitment of senior-level executives across the national healthcare enterprise. His clients include both for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare and life sciences organizations such as: Managed Care Organization / Health Plans, Integrated Delivery Systems, Hospitals/Providers, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), Healthcare Technology Companies, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Healthcare Products Companies.
Since joining Reeder & Associates in 2011, Steve has completed search assignments across a broad range of executive management functions. Working with organizations ranging from venture capital start-ups to some of the largest Managed Care Organizations, Steve has worked closely with boards, search committees, and other senior executives in recruiting healthcare leaders for the following key positions: President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. Additionally, Steve has also completed several EVP, SVP, VP, Medical Director, and Senior Director level search assignments.
Steve has experience in helping to complete executive search engagements in the areas of Commercial Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Dual-Eligibles, Health Care Reform, Insurance Exchanges, Behavioral Health, Risk Contracting, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), and Consumer-Driven Health Care.
Prior to joining Reeder & Associates Steve was the head doctor and owner of Eveningred Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Marietta, GA. He holds a doctorate degree in chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA. He is also a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration where he specialized in Finance.

Based in Washington, D.C., Lauren McClurg leads our In-House Counsel and Life Sciences practice areas. Since joining our firm, Lauren has been actively engaged in search assignments for several of our healthcare clients, for senior level In-House Counsel, Government Programs, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer roles.
Lauren joined Reeder & Associates from King & Spalding, a Global 50 law firm. She was a Partner in the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes practice, and Life Sciences and Healthcare industry group, where she represented pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability and mass tort litigation. Lauren’s 15-year legal career advising clients in the Life Sciences and Health Care sectors is a natural fit with our firm’s healthcare focus. It also gives her valuable insights as an executive search consultant because she developed deep industry knowledge and trusted relationships with clients in these industries.
During her tenure at King & Spalding, Lauren served as a member of the Washington, D.C. office’s Hiring Committee for more than six years and was heavily involved in both new attorney and lateral attorney recruiting. Lauren is a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization of corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners committed to creating a diverse legal profession.
Lauren received her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Emory University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and the District of Columbia.
